A Perfect Day: Scrap-Diner Viva la Friday challenge

This was for a Viva La Friday challenge over at Scrap-Diner! The challenge was to take an old layout you disliked and redo it.... I hope by that they meant to take the pics off and COMPLETELY REDO IT!!! The new layout is the super fabulous glitter-rific one on the top. The bottom one is the only layout that I've made that I truly disliked! I'm so glad I redid a layout for these precious pics of me and Elli's first Mother's Day!

This one's for you Mom....

Mommy if you are reading this I know you are thinking "Told ya so!' But I know you'll get a kick out of these! Miss Elli is a finicky sleeper.... didn't like the crib, bassinette, playpen! Only her carseat! So I always let her sleep in the carseat til I go to bed. Well.... it appears she may be too big for this now! These were all in the last few weeks. In the first one she tipped over the carseat, has her head in the bottom and kept sleeping with it up in the air. In the second she rolled out of it and is sleeping with her arm underneath it. In the third she got up, walked over to Lex who was sleepin on the couch, poked her back a few times, then gave up and layed down on the floor next to the couch and by the dog. In the fourth she rolled out and we found her sleeping with her head against the dining room chair! What a goof! Love you Mom!

Gettin ready for halloween

Made this fun little basket today :) What a cheap and easy project and it looks so cute in our family room! Picked up some of these pre-painted baskets at Joann's and just added ribbon, buttons, punkins cut out of DCWV paper and some MM rubons.

Why I love you Munkin Moo

1. What a kick in the tail you are. Wherever you go mischief and wonder seem to follow! I love watching you discover all the fun world around you!
2. I love all your funny words. I love that you say Fa Fa for I love you and you really know what you are saying.
3. I love that when you wake up the first words out of your mouth are mama mama!
4. You are my little miracle. You are the baby I didn't think we would have and you are such a blessing in my world!
5. You are your Daddy but miniature. I love to look at you and see Daddy's facial expressions and mannerisms. I love that you look so much half me and half daddy.
6. As much as you make me crazy sometimes I love that you are so brave and daring. There isn't an obstacle that you won't climb.... and then jump off of!
7. I love that you are as content to snuggle all night with me as I am! You are my bed buddy and I have cherished the countless hours I have spent staring at your darling little face.
8. I love that you already love the Cubbies! When we watch baseball if we are clapping you will run over and say GO GO! I also love to watch you do and say SAFE!
9. I love your smile. This darling impish grin melts my heart everytime. I can't resist you for a second!
10. Mostly I love you because you came to me when I needed you so! You are the perfect little soul that we were menat to have and I am so thankful for your presence in my life every single day!

Why I love you Miss Lexi

1. You have the whole package... inner AND outer beauty!
2. You care so passionately about the rights and lives of others. I have never met an 11 year old who is so sure and vocal about her beliefs!
3. You have said you wanted to be the president since a very young age.... you mean it and that is amazing to me. An 11 year old with her life all mapped out already.
4. Gosh you are smart. The adult concepts you "get" amaze me! You are also 10x better at math than your Mommy is!
5. You are the best big sister in the world. It couldn't have been easy to be an only for 10 years and then not be anymore. You love your sissy so much and she thinks you are the best thing ever!
6. Your singing voice is amazing! You have such talent and your stage presence is mesmerizing!
7. You are so kind and giving. You never want to disappoint and you are one of the most honest people I have ever met!
8. I love how creative you are! Your jewelry that you make is so pretty and you tell a story so well!
9. As much as it scares me... I love that you are becoming so "teenagery". The jewelry, the clothes, the nail polish and little touches of makeup! My little diva :)
10. Mostly I love you cause you're my girl. For so many years it was just you and me and you made me who I am today!

Scrap City Challenge : What? It's just dirt!

Found a fun new site! They are linked over to the right :) This is for their first challenge. I totally love this sketch! I have had these pics and papers sitting on my desk for awhile and was so glad to finally use them! Our little Munkin is obsessed with dirt. The first time she tried eating dirt she wasn't so sure... but now she loves to shove as much as she can in her little mouth and then come over and spit it at her Mommy. What a treat LOL! :) She is such a little turkey! It's a good thing she is so darn cute... makes it hard to ever get upset when she does crazy things :)
Journaling tag reads: 8/6/07. You silly girl! As we watched you picked up a handful of dirt, shoved it in your mouth and spit it out! Turns out you liked it... now you do it EVERY TIME you're outside!
